Something To Think About?

          Most people might know Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in THE LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.”   Trust in THE LORD, this verse says, and don’t try to figure it out.  Don’t make it about you.  Don’t lean unto your own understanding – in other words, don’t put GOD on your level or the level of your knowledge.  GOD’s thoughts are not our thoughts, nor are our ways, GOD’s WAYS.  For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts – Saith THE LORD. (Isaiah 55:8-9)  When we look up into the Heavens, we don’t know where they end.  Man has traveled to space, but never beyond space – so as far as the Heavens are without end – so are GOD’s thoughts and WAYS compared to our thoughts and ways.

          THE LORD simply says to Trust HIM with all that we have.  Trust HIM with our entire being, our entire mind.  Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every WORD of GOD is pure; HE is a shield unto them that put their trust in HIM.” 

          You see, we have never seen GOD face to face, but we have seen HIM throughout our lives, even when we did not even know it.  HE was always there.  We have GOD’s WORD, and this is what we must stand on – this is what we must Trust in HIM for:  That HE will be faithful to HIS WORD.  If HE said it, then it is so.  In all our ways, we are to acknowledge that GOD is GOD, and HE will direct us in the way that we should go.  HE will sustain us.  HE will make a way out of no way.  HE will be the GOD of HIS WORD.  GOD ALMIGHTY said in HIS WORD, “For I AM not a man, that I should lie, neither the son of man, that I should repent: Hath I said, and shall I not do it?  Or have I spoken, and shall I not make it good.”  (Numbers 23:19) We can count on GOD’s WORD.  We can Trust in HIM and HIS WORD. 

          I said LORD, I don’t know how to Trust in YOU.  I try, but sometimes, I just fail, no matter how hard I try.  I pray in these moments for THE GOOD LORD to please help me with my faith.  Then THE HOLY SPIRIT spoke to me and asked who I trusted more than anyone else.  Who do you trust that would always be there for you, help you, love you, and make a way for you if they could?  That person you believe would never let you down if they could help it.  When I thought of that person and answered GOD – then THE HOLY SPIRIT spoke and said GOD is more than that person – as you trust in them, put all that Trust in GOD for HE is Greater, Better, and Stronger than all those that HE created.  Hallelujah!  I was then able to truly Trust in THE LORD. 

     You see, we cannot please GOD without believing in HIM or believing that HE will do what HE said HE would do.  GOD said, if we don’t have faith, don’t expect what we trust HIM for. 

     “But without faith, it is impossible to please HIM, for HE that cometh to GOD must believe that HE is and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.  (Hebrews 11:6)  “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.  For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven, with the wind and tossed. (7) For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of THE LORD.” 

     We must believe that GOD will do what HE said HE will do with our all and then we must expect it because HE said it.  Trusting in GOD is that simple.  Let Go and Trust GOD!
