Losing Our Lives!
You Are Not Reading This By Chance – It Is THE WILL of GOD for You!

“And when He had called the people unto HIM with HIS disciples also, HE said unto them, Whosoever will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME.” (Mark 8:34)
Mark says, “Whosoever loses his life for MY Sake, and the Gospels, shall save it” (Mark 8:35). If we are to understand the great need to lose our life, then we must realize the importance of why. Man was given a solemn responsibility to care for his life. Being made responsible for it because of the decision of Adam and Eve, we find ourselves in complete control of the outcome.
GOD would show man that he was unfit to be king, by experiencing firsthand the consequences of the decisions he made. Hopefully, this teaches us that we cannot rule ourselves and must seek out a new governing power to rule us.
Have you come to that conclusion? That you are unfit to rule over your own life. Have you made such a mess of it that it is out of control. Maybe you have problems with a certain sin. No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to get the victory over it. I will let you in on a little secret, if GOD is not ruling over you, then something else will.
We are designed to be ruled by GOD. If not, then we are the servants of something else, in which case, sin.
“JESUS answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” (John 8:34)
Another passage that is relevant:
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)
What can we do to no longer be under the lordship of sin? If I am designed by nature to be a servant, to submit to some kind of authority, then how can I be free of its dominion? By relinquishing the rights to my life and allowing it to be ruled by another.
We must lose our life, the one we want to control, but can’t because we are servants by design, and let GOD take over that life.
How, might you ask?
If my life has been placed in my hands, then the reasonable conclusion is to get it out of my hands and place it into HIS.
By giving it to HIM, I relinquish all responsibility of my life and place the responsibility where it belongs.
From that moment, HE decides where you go, where you live, what you will do, how you will be raised as a vessel fit for HIS Glory. Everything that happens will be designed to conform you to the image of HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST – THE ONE who gave HIS LIFE so that we might have life more abundantly. Hallelujah!

I Will Be Thou Cleaned - Mark 1:41

Primeval darkness heard THE ALMIGHTY command, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3) and immediately “there was light” (vs3). The WORD of THE LORD JESUS is equal in majesty to that ancient word of power. Redemption, like Creation, has its word of might. JESUS speaks, and it is done. Leprosy yielded to no human remedies, but it fled at once at THE LORD’s “I WILL.”
The disease exhibited no hopeful signs or tokens of recovery. Nature contributed nothing to its own healing, but the unaided word effected the entire work on the spot and forever.
The sinner is in a plight more miserable than the leper. Let him imitate the leper’s example and go to JESUS, “beseeching HIM, and kneeling down to HIM” (Mark 1:40). Let him exercise what little faith he has, even though it should go no further than, “LORD, ‘if THOU wilt, THOU canst make me clean’ (v 40).”
There need be no doubt as to the result of the application. JESUS heals all who come and casts out none. In reading the narrative in which our text occurs, it is worthy of devout notice that JESUS touched the leper. This unclean person had broken through the regulations of the ceremonial law and pressed into the house, but JESUS, far from chiding him, broke through the law HIMSELF in order to meet him.
JESUS made an interchange with the leper, for while HE cleansed him, HE contracted by that touch a Levitical defilement. Likewise, JESUS CHRIST was made sin for us, although in HIMSELF HE knew no sin, so that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM.
Oh, that poor sinners would go to JESUS, believing in the power of HIS Blessed substitutionary work, and they would soon learn the Power of HIS Gracious Touch.
That hand that multiplied the loaves, that saved sinking Peter, that upholds the afflicted saints, that crowns believers, that same hand will touch every seeking sinner and in a moment make him clean. The Love of JESUS is the source of Salvation. HE Loves, HE touches us, and we live! Hallelujah!
GOD Is Still In Control!

Llet’s continue to remind ourselves of what we know to be true. GOD is always in control.
GOD is OMNIPOTENT – All-Powerful. The earth is THE LORD’s and fullness thereof. Everything in the world GOD made. Nothing made GOD, if it exists, GOD made it. GOD is All Powerful, and there is no one or nothing in this world that is greater than HIM.
GOD is OMNISCIENT – GOD knows all things. There is nothing that HE does not know. GOD is never taken by surprise. HE wrote the book of life, and HE knows the entire story from the beginning to the end. David asked in the Psalms 139, where could he go that GOD was not there? Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of THE LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Hebrews 4:13 tells us that there is no one or anything that GOD does not see.
GOD is OMNIPRESENT – GOD is everywhere at all times. Again, Psalms 139:7-10, emphasizes that GOD is everywhere at all times. GOD asked Jeremiah in Jeremiah 23:23-24, “AM I a GOD at hand, saith THE LORD, and not a GOD afar off? (24) Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him, saith THE LORD. Do not I fill Heaven and earth saith, THE LORD.”
When we understand that GOD is ALL POWERFUL, ALL KNOWING, and ALL PRESENT, and there is no other GOD besides THE FATHER of JESUS, let us rest assured that GOD is in total control – always will be and always has been.
Quit listening to the news, turn the television off, turn off the radio, and quit listening to all of these people telling you that someone or something is greater than our GOD – because if you are a child of GOD, then you know that there is nothing or no one greater than THE TRUE LIVING GOD or HIS SON JESUS THE CHRIST and GOD is always in control. Amen
